Harvey Curley and his wife Carol have been dedicated residents of the Eastpointe Community for 57 years.
Beginning in 1975, Harvey Curley was elected to the East Detroit Board of Education, serving as its President from 1978 through 1983. He has also served two years on the Zoning Board of Appeals and as Councilman from 1985 to 1987. In 1987, he began his twelve year service as the Mayor of Eastpointe. Following a brief hiatus, Harvey Curley returned to public service in 2019 to run and be elected to serve as Councilman.
Harvey Curley has been on the Board of the Cruisin' Gratiot organization for 21 years and currently serves as the President. He also serves on the Eastpointe Housing Authority Board and the Eastpointe Memorial Library Commission.
