COMMUNITY CENTER
The Eastpointe Community Center, located at 16435 Eight Mile Road, approximately halfway between Gratiot Ave. and Kelly Road on the north side of Eight Mile Road, houses the administrative offices for the Parks and Recreation Department. This facility also has a high school size gymnasium with bleacher seating for 225, the Jerry Linenger Auditorium seating 250 with display and exhibit items from Eastpointe's very own astronaut, and rental/activity rooms for department programs and events.
The facility houses offices of the City's "Communities That Care Program" .

FACILITY RENTAL
Community Center and Senior Citizen Center rooms are available for rent to Eastpointe residents or business owners for private functions (i.e. birthday parties, wedding/shower receptions, reunions, training sessions, basketball games, etc). It should be noted that all of the facilities are to remain tobacco and alcohol free at all times.

Gymnasium use for other than athletic activity, such as a private party or fund raising activity will be at the discretion of the department based upon size, time, and type of activity. In addition to these costs, it should be noted that hourly custodial-type charges may be incurred based upon unusual circumstances and/or demands of staff.
PARKS
Picnic in the Parks
The City of Eastpointe has green shady parks available to picnickers from individual families to large groups. Picnic permits for a shelter are available, and may be obtained from the Community Center office (16435 E. Eight Mile) during business hours. Individual picnic sites are available on a first come, first serve basis.
The park features horseshoe pits, playground equipment, an outdoor swimming pool with a water slide, lighted baseball field, roller hockey facility, youth soccer field, sand volleyball and picnic pavilions.

There are 6 horseshoe pits, 4 lighted tennis courts, playground equipment and picnic pavilions available for park users. One-hour tennis permits for residents may be obtained after 4:00 p.m. on weekdays and any time on weekends.

The new park pavilion is located along Flower Street south of 10 Mile Road. Ball fields, a basketball court, sand volleyball and horseshoe pits are immediately adjacent to the pavilion. Playground equipment is located within easy walking distance.

SENIOR CITIZEN CENTER
The Eastpointe Senior Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The center is located at 16600 Stephens Drive, just 2 blocks east of Gratiot. Eastpointe residents age 55 or older are welcome to participate in the activities held at the center. A wide variety of programs and services are available. Detailed information on these programs is listed in the Senior Activities Newsletter, which is printed at the beginning of each month.. CHAPATON BOAT RAMP
Eastpointe resident boating enthusiasts may ramp their boats at the Chapaton Boat Ramp at the foot of Nine Mile Road on Lake St. Clair. Season stickers can be purchased at the Eastpointe Community Center during business hours. The purchaser must provide a current boat registration and a valid driver's license. All vehicle registrations must be in the purchaser's name. Season stickers cannot be purchased for relatives or friends.
Residents who do not wish to purchase a season pass may pay a daily launching fee at the Boat Ramp.
NATURAL ICE SKATING RINKS
The Parks and Recreation Department provides two ice rinks during the winter. These natural rinks are dependent on cold weather and no vandalism. Vandalism of any kind, such as breaking holes in the ice, can limit skating for weeks.
