ABOUT COMMUNITIES THAT CARE

Eastpointe Communities That Care is a community-based collaborative effort aimed at delinquency prevention in the Eastpointe community by elevating family values.

The Communities That Care concept is based on risk-focused prevention, which identifies factors that increase the chances of adolescents developing problem behaviors (risk factors) and factors which shield them from problems (protective factors). The goal is to increase the protection throughout one's development while reducing the risks to prevent problems and promote healthy growth.
